a word from the director

So this film is an example of how I'd like to approach film making from now on. Dan and I were sitting around building one dumb idea off of another until we got to the point that it was so stupid funny that we had to film it. Instead of saying that we would film it one day and pushing off another filming opportunity, we just picked up the camera, ran outside, and shot it moments after we came up with the idea. Obviously its not the best short in the world, but I feel there is something to be said for seizing the moment.

Wow, that was redonkulous, almost close to redonk!

Alllll...righty then!

I think the thing I like best about this piece is not just the humor of it (although I do find it funny), but the simple fact that production took us something like 3 hours from inception of the original concept to exporting the completely edited and sound-mixed final product to tape. I'm not saying that one should always work so entirely on the fly, but I was pleased with what we came up with under a structure of almost totally pure spontaneity.
